  2. DISTANCE LEARNING WEBSITE FOR FAMILIES

    2020-2021 PRE-ENROLLMENT 

    • Schools have started to pre-enroll students remotely.

    • The Neighborhood Schools and Enrollment Options team is fully prepared to support site enrollment staff with the remote process and the Distribution team is available to assist us if a family cannot enroll electronically. Link : https://www.sandiegounified.org/new-student-online-enrollment

    DEVICE SUPPORT

    • Student Device Distribution Centers will now transition to Exchange Centers.

    • The last day of scheduled device pick up is Friday, April 24 and will remain open April 27-May 1 for families that missed their distribution date or need to exchange a student device not working.

    • Due to the reduced traffic, there will be less staff at each center.

    • After next week, we will re-evaluate how many centers will remain open during Distance Learning.

    • Families are encouraged to visit our Technology Support for Families website for technical support resources including basic Chromebook troubleshooting, how-to login videos, and FAQs

  3. Hello Salk families!

    I hope you are staying safe. During this time students may be filled with worries or anxiety around the pandemic. I created a counseling resource center for all Salk families. On the website you will find calming activities, parent resources, and prerecorded counseling lessons to play for your child. I will be adding more to the website each week, so keep checking back for more social-emotional activities to help your student. The link is attached below.

    Also, I would love to check in with your students to see how they are adjusting. I can walk them through some calming activities, give them a motivational pep-talk to complete their school work, or just be there to talk if they feel isolated.
